Taking Panes for Art
"Taking Panes for Art" is a state wide artist
collaboration that started in October @ the Ames Mill
in Richmond, ME.  A few artists were making paper
@ Richard Lees studio in the second floor of the
mill.  There was a lot of noise and that's how it
started.  "What's all of that racket?" they asked.
"They are replacing the windows in the mill."
Richard replied.  "what they going to do with the old
windows?" They questioned.  Pretty soon the Mill
owners,Richmond Contract Manufacturing, the
window replacers, ABFM Construction, and Window
replacement manufacturers "Paradigm Windows".
Were all involved thanks to a few connections and
some well placed words by Meredith Strang Burgess
of Burgess advertising.  The "Taking Panes for Art"
project was off the  ground running.
